  • Empowering Persons with Disabilities in the Buganda Kingdom

Welcome to Buganda Disabled Union (BUDU), a kingdom-affiliated Disabled Persons’ Organization (DPO) dedicated to promoting the rights, inclusion, and economic empowerment of persons with disabilities (PWDs) within Buganda Kingdom’s governance and development structures.

  • Buganda Disabled Union's Vision

A Buganda Kingdom where persons with disabilities are fully included, economically empowered, and actively participate in cultural, social, and economic life.

    BUDU

Established in 2010 and officially registered in 2014, BUDU was created to bridge the gap between PWDs and Buganda Kingdom’s transformative initiatives by ensuring that disability inclusion is a key component of the kingdom’s economic, social, and cultural programs.

We work closely with Buganda Kingdom Government, local leaders, and partners to create equal opportunities for PWDs in education, business, employment, and cultural participation.
